Born and raised in Houston, TX, from a young age, Blakely developed a passion for art and all things creative. From elementary school to high school, you would find her taking classes at the Glassell School of Art or Art League Houston. Blakely continued her passion for art when she attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelors of Art in Studio Art with a focus in Painting and Drawing, along with a minor in Business.

 

Blakely lives and works as a full time artist in Houston, TX. Most days, you can find her at home, painting and working on new pieces to show in Round Top, TX and enjoying time with her husband, Andrew and their playful puppy, Roux. Blakely currently creates abstract oil paintings and watercolors, particularly focusing on the structure and form of flowers. Her work has been featured in countless of homes, restaurants and trade/antique shows around Texas.
